Frequently asked questions
What climates is the Laurel Organic Dunlop Latex Mattress best suited for?
The latex layers are designed to provide consistent support and surface comfort, suitable for a range of climates. The organic cotton cover and wool filling help regulate temperature, contributing to comfort in varying seasons.
What materials make up this mattress and how do they feel day to day?
It uses 100% GOLS-certified Dunlop organic latex with a 4″ base, a 3″ middle core, and a 2″ soft top, plus an organic cotton cover with wool filling. This combination aims to offer a supportive base, a customizable mid-layer feel, and a soft top for pressure relief.
Who would benefit most from this latex mattress and who might prefer something different?
It’s designed for adults of all body types and sleeping preferences who want customizable firmness levels (base and middle layers) and compatibility with adjustable bases. If you prefer a single, non-customizable feel, this layered approach might feel more variable.
How do I set up or customize the layers to fit my sleeping side on larger sizes?
Queen and king sizes can be customized by sleeping on your preferred side, and you can select the base and middle layer firmness to tailor support. The top layer remains soft to cushion surface pressure points.
What should a first-time buyer know about using this mattress with an adjustable base?
The Laurel is versatile and can be used on an adjustable bed base, allowing you to adjust head or foot positions to suit your comfort preferences.
How is durability addressed in this mattress design and what contributes to long-term use?
Each latex layer is individually wrapped and encased in an organic cover, designed for protection and durability, with natural materials intended to hold up over time in everyday use.
